The goal of CSCR is to develop translational and basic stem cell research towards disease biology, novel cellular therapeutics and gene therapy. Scientists (PhD in life sciences or MD with post-doctoral work in molecular and cell biology) interested in such research are invited to apply. Exceptional candidates with other complementary abilities will also be considered. At any time, CSCR will have a few themes of research to which scientists will be expected to contribute.
Newly recruited scientists will be provided lab space, equipment and start up funds. They will also be expected to submit independent grant application for external funding at the earliest. As CSCR is a part of inStem, Bengaluru, all scientists at CSCR will have access to facilities at the Bengaluru campus and are encouraged to collaborate with scientists working there. Being stationed in the campus of the Christian Medical College (CMC), Vellore, scientists working at CSCR also have the opportunity to collaborate with faculty in the different departments of CMC, Vellore to develop translational programs.
Salary will be commensurate with the qualification and experience.
Applications are invited from candidates who are interested in doing short term projects at the Centre for Stem Cell Research (a unit of inStem, Bengaluru) a collaboration between DBT and CMC, Vellore.
Duration: a minimum of 4 months to a maximum of 6 months
Eligibility: Students who are pursuing MSc (Life Sciences/ Biotechnology/ NanoTechnology/ Materials Science / Bioengineering), B.Tech, M.Tech, MBBS courses.
Apply via e-mail with your CV and the duration of your project.
